27 Rova 4715 – Sunday

I could feel adrenaline rushing through my veins as we approached the Salt Works. I’ve been in high stress situations before, but this was a bit further from the normal boundaries of my comfort zone. Niccolo took the lead as we snuck through the gate. The poor professor doesn’t seem as accustomed to this kind of skullduggery either as his jacket caught on the gate.

It must have alerted the guards within the barracks, but, I suppose luckily, we were able to knock out the guards before any sort of alarm could be raised. I was always taught violence should be the last course of action when possible, but this is also so different from what I’m used to.

The fight that ensued within the building has left me a bit shaken. The Asmodean Dwarf, Kossrani, was a formidable opponent. I tend to prefer my adopted role as a healer for those in my party, but I admit, I will step in to defend when necessary. I feel I have been outspoken about not killing needlessly, but there was no doubt in my mind that Kossrani would have slaughtered us all. I do not regret my actions, but they do weigh on me heavily. I suppose that’s why I felt such relief when the rest of the Chelish Citizens Brigade chose to turn tail and run.
